With more than 15 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, Jörg has advanced energy storage in various roles, from the Fraunhofer Institute and Heliocentris to Younicos, where he contributed as Principal Engineer to Europe’s first frequency response storage systems. He later led the Small Battery Storage unit at Aggreko. Afterward, he founded Junison and has since delivered storage projects worldwide. Today, Junison Labs stands for specialised energy management systems in the utility scale segment with a focus on large scale storage and C and I projects.

Matthias started as a scientific associate in the Neurorobotics Research Laboratory at Humboldt University of Berlin. He then moved intoindustry, developing embedded software for large-scale battery storagesystems at Younicos. In 2019, he founded his own robotics startup and has since worked as a freelance software and electronics developer. At Junison Labs, he leads the software team and designs the architecture of the MAESTRO Energy Management System.

With over 18 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, Nicolas has held various roles in sales and business development, driving growth across European and international markets. His expertise spans strategic market development, partnership building, and the successful implementation of commercial strategies within the clean energy industry.

Suraj is an Energy Systems Integration Engineer with an MSc in Renewable Energy Systems. He specializes in deploying EMS software on edge controllers, seamlessly integrating batteries, inverters, and renewable energy sources. Combining his expertise in data science and analytics, Suraj develops advanced simulations and machine learning models to enable intelligent, data-driven, and predictive energy management.

Thomas combines deep expertise in signal processing with a strong background in machine learning. Holding a PhD in Music Information Retrieval, he spent many years developing algorithms for analysing complex audio signals and later led data science teams in the music tech industry. Today, he brings this technical precision to Junison Labs, shaping the intelligence behind MAESTRO and helping turn large battery systems into efficient and future ready energy assets.

After studying Computer Science and AI in Berlin, Thomas worked in multiple different roles and industries and acquired knowledge about the inner workings of many software systems. In 2018 he joined the German Aerospace Center and worked in the domain of autonomous driving. He now brings his accumulated wisdom and his passion for pragmatic solutions to Junison as Systems Architect and Software Engineer.
